Every program in the matcher comes from the school's own program page, checked in September 2026: its formats, credits, published tuition, GRE policy, whether it takes applications through SOPHAS, and the school's CEPH status from the CEPH accredited list. Must-haves remove programs; preferences add points. A program that publishes no per-credit rate is never dropped for cost unless you set a budget, and then it's marked so you can check the school's price yourself.
Which Answers Matter Most
- Format. Online programs vary: some are fully online, others need short campus visits. Open each match to read the school's own description. Compare options on the online MPH, on-campus MPH and hybrid MPH pages.

How Does the MPH Program Matcher Choose Programs?
It checks your answers against the 488 MPH programs on this site. Anything you mark as a must-have (format, CEPH accreditation, no GRE) removes programs that don't meet it. Everything else adds points, and ties go to the lower published tuition per credit.
Why Do Some Programs Show No Tuition?
Only 213 programs publish a per-credit rate; others publish tuition per term, per year or as a total, which can't be compared per credit. The matcher never guesses a price; open the program page to see what the school publishes.
Should You Only Consider CEPH-Accredited Programs?
For most people, yes. CEPH is the accreditor for public health schools and programs recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and graduating from an accredited or applicant program is the direct route to sit for the CPH exam. Some government jobs and fellowships also ask for it.
Are Sponsored Programs Part of the Results?
