Wingate’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program is designed to prepare students to excel as public health professionals and leaders, enabling them to make a significant impact in their communities and beyond. A key feature is the integration of MBA coursework, ensuring students are equipped to address both the human and business aspects of public health. The program emphasizes personalized attention from distinguished faculty with market-specific expertise.

The Wingate University Department of Public Health is an applicant for accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This accreditation review will specifically address the Master of Public Health Program.

Delivery Modes

The MPH program is offered in a fully online format, designed with a focus on flexibility. This includes a mix of self-directed learning modules and live online classes, accommodating various schedules. The program supports both full-time and part-time study.

Curriculum Overview

The comprehensive curriculum consists of 42 credit-hours with a primary focus on health education and promotion. Students can typically complete the degree in as little as two years.

Applied practice and integrated learning experiences are central to the curriculum. Students have opportunities to interact with professionals in the field and learn firsthand how to apply public health principles. This includes engagement with community partners such as health departments, public schools, non-profit organizations, and healthcare institutions.

Upon successful graduation, students are eligible to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.

Admissions Requirements
