Curriculum Overview
The program requires a total of 42 semester hours. The curriculum includes core public health courses (Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health Administration and Policy, Environmental Health, Health Education and Program Planning, Society, Behavior, and Health), a Social Determinants of Health core (Race, Ethnicity, and Health; Principles and History of Urban Health; Urban Community Health Assessment), and experiential learning through a Public Health Capstone and a Practicum. Students also complete 9 semester hours of elective coursework. A minimum GPA of 3.000 is required for graduation.
