The UWF MPH is an affordable online program featuring a competency-based, military-friendly curriculum that caters to students from diverse backgrounds and with varied career goals in population health. Delivery Modes

The M.P.H. program at UWF is delivered entirely online, with asynchronous coursework. This flexible format allows working professionals to balance their educational goals with work and family life.

Curriculum Overview

The program requires 42 credit hours and is grounded in foundational core courses covering environmental health, epidemiology, social and behavioral sciences, biostatistics, and public health policy. These courses provide a comprehensive understanding of the history, structure, principles, theories, and practice of public health.

A key component of the curriculum is a two-semester, 6 credit hour practicum in the field of public health. This experience is conducted under the guidance of a qualified mentor and an MPH Faculty Internship Advisor, providing real-world experience.

Students can choose from three concentrations:

• Generalist MPH

• Health Promotion, Education and Behavior

• Global Health
