Syracuse University's dual Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program is designed for individuals seeking to become versatile leaders capable of addressing complex challenges at the intersection of public health and business. Offered jointly by the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, the program equips students with the knowledge and skills to drive systemic and sustainable change in public health and business organizations.

The MPH component of the program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The M.B.A. component is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) .

Delivery Modes

The dual MPH/M.B.A. program is delivered in an in-person format at Syracuse University. The curriculum is structured for completion over three years, typically on a full-time basis.

Curriculum Overview

The dual degree requires the completion of 81 credit hours over three years. The curriculum integrates both disciplines with 6 credits of shared core content and 9 credits of shared electives relevant to both programs. Key MPH courses, such as PHP 627 (in place of MBC 629/30) and PHP 630 (in place of MBC 638), are accepted towards the M.B.A. degree requirements.

MPH requirements include a public health-related practicum, which can be undertaken at any time after the first year of study. The MPH component offers a concentration in Global Health, and electives include courses fulfilling a social justice learning outcome.
