Students earn their Bachelor's degree first, followed by the MPH.

Curriculum Overview
The MPH degree program requires 45 credit hours. The curriculum includes:
18 credits of core courses
15-18 credits of required concentration courses
6-9 credits of electives
3 credits of Practicum Capstone
Additionally, students complete an Applied Practice Experience (0 credits) and an Interprofessional Education Experience (0 credits). The accelerated pathway allows students to take up to 18 graduate MPH credits as undergraduates, which may apply to both degrees. These credits cannot be transferred to other graduate programs.
Admissions Requirements
The program is open to undergraduate majors at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, Newark, Camden) and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Applicants must be approved by their undergraduate school and apply to the Rutgers School of Public Health between completing 60 and 105 undergraduate credits.
