Program Highlights

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Indiana University-Indianapolis, offered by the Fairbanks School of Public Health, provides students with a broad foundation to initiate change in the public health and health care sectors. Delivery Modes

The program offers significant flexibility with options for a hybrid experience or fully online study through accelerated 8-week semesters. These formats cater to both full-time and part-time students. The hybrid experience allows students to customize their program to enhance research or practice interests. The accelerated online option enables degree completion in as little as 15 months.

Curriculum Overview

Students begin in the Interdisciplinary Public Health Studies (IPHS) concentration and can choose to specialize in their second semester or remain in IPHS. The curriculum includes core public health courses covering areas such as epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, environmental health, and social and behavioral sciences. After core courses, students take specialized concentration courses, electives, and complete an internship and a capstone experience. The program is approximately 42-45 credit hours. Students will also be prepared to sit for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) exam.

Cost & Financial Aid

Tuition rates are provided per credit hour. For Indiana residents, the rate is $582 for both in-person/hybrid and online formats. For out-of-state residents, the in-person/hybrid rate is $1,412 per credit hour, and the online rate is $627 per credit hour. Note that these rates are for tuition only, and other fees apply.
