Program Highlights & Accreditation
The Accelerated Bachelor's/Master of Public Health (MPH) program at George Mason University is designed for highly qualified and motivated current Mason undergraduates from any major.
Key benefits include the waiver of application fees, the opportunity to take up to six graduate courses at the undergraduate tuition rate, and the ability to complete degree requirements more quickly by double-counting certain courses for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The MPH program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
Delivery Modes
This is an accelerated program allowing undergraduate students to begin MPH coursework while completing their bachelor's degree.
Curriculum Overview
Admitted students who have successfully completed 75 approved undergraduate credits may take up to 18 credits (6 courses) of approved graduate coursework towards the MPH. This includes:
Advanced Standing: Up to 12 credits (4 courses) can apply to both undergraduate and graduate degrees. A minimum grade of B is required for these courses to count towards the graduate degree.
Reserve Credit: Up to 6 credits (2 courses) can be taken as graduate-level courses that do not count toward undergraduate degree requirements but apply only to the graduate degree.
