Program Highlights & Accreditation

Daemen University's Master of Public Health (MPH) program focuses on health equity and social justice, preparing students to promote public health education, service, and research at local, national, and global levels. The curriculum emphasizes understanding cultural, socioeconomic, and policy issues. Students benefit from an active MPH Student Association, engaging in various on-campus and community activities. Additionally, Daemen offers a 4+1 dual degree program (PharmD/MPH) in partnership with D’Youville College School of Pharmacy.

Classes are typically scheduled in the later afternoon and evening to accommodate working professionals. Admissions Requirements

Applicants to the MPH program at Daemen University must meet general graduate admission criteria and specific program requirements:

• Possess a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Conditional admission may be considered for GPAs below 3.00 with additional evidence of potential.

• Submit a personal letter of application detailing reasons for seeking an MPH, relevant experience, and leadership strengths.

• Provide two letters of recommendation from a major professor or professional colleague.

• Submit official transcripts from all accredited colleges/universities attended, indicating an undergraduate degree. International applicants require a course-by-course credential evaluation (e.g., WES, ECE).

• International applicants whose native language is not English must submit official TOEFL (minimum 85 iBT) or IELTS (minimum 6.5) scores.

• Paid or volunteer public health-related experience is recommended.

• An interview with MPH faculty may be required for qualified candidates.
