Concordia University Irvine is an applicant for accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for its Master of Public Health (MPH) program. Delivery Modes

The Master of Public Health program is delivered fully online, designed for working professionals. Live sessions are scheduled on Tuesday nights during weeks 1, 3, 5, and 7 of each 7-week course. The program is paced for students to complete one course at a time, with the exception of the final semester when the internship is completed concurrently. Twice a year, the Healthcare Programs host Professional Development Workshops (in-person or livestream), though MPH students are not required to attend the keynote presentation.

Curriculum Overview

The MPH program requires 42 total units. Coursework includes biostatistics, applied epidemiology, research methods, programming, and evaluation. Students conduct research and promote evidence-based approaches in public health. The program features a concentration in Community Health Education, preparing students to assess social, behavioral, and environmental determinants of health problems and to design, implement, and evaluate health programs and preventive services. Core courses for this concentration include MPH 570: Community Health (3 units), MPH 575: Communication and Social Marketing Health Promotion and Education (3 units), and MPH 580: Programming and Evaluation in Public Health (3 units). Integrative learning experiences include a community-based practicum and 20 hours of volunteer work in a health service organization.

The cost per unit for the MPH program is $665 (Fall '25 / Spring '26 rate). With 42 total units, the estimated total tuition is $27,930. Additional fees include a $50 non-refundable domestic application fee and a $50 student success fee. A graduation fee is also required.
