Program Highlights
The Master of Public Health (MPH) at Boise State University is a cohort model program designed to train health professionals through comprehensive educational programs, research, and community service opportunities. It aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to make substantive contributions to the health of individuals, communities, and the environment.
The program prepares students for leadership positions in public health, as well as in other public and private health-promoting agencies and healthcare institutions.
Delivery Modes
The MPH program is structured to accommodate working professionals and offers flexible study options:
Evening classes are available, catering to working students.
A full-time option allows program completion in 2 years (4 semesters).
A part-time option allows program completion in 3 years (6 semesters).
An Accelerated Master of Public Health option is also available.
Most core and emphasis area classes are delivered in-person at the Boise State Health Science Riverside Building .
Curriculum Overview
Students in the MPH program must successfully complete at least 42 credit hours of approved coursework. This includes 16 credits of foundational coursework and specific requirements for their chosen emphasis area.
The program utilizes a cohort model, with students beginning classes together. New cohorts start in the fall semester only.

Admissions Requirements
Prospective students need to submit a graduate application to the Graduate College. The priority deadline for applications, particularly for those wishing to be considered for graduate assistantship opportunities, is January 15th.
