Curriculum Overview

Up to six transfer credits may be accepted.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants to the online MPH program must submit the following:

• Completed online application (no application fee).

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher).

• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.

• Personal statement.

• Two letters of recommendation.

• Resume.

A statistics course is highly recommended but not required. Work or volunteer experience in public health is suggested. Standardized tests like the GRE or MAT are not required. The application deadline for the summer start (end of May) is May 1.

Cost & Financial Aid

The estimated tuition for the online MPH program is $855 per credit hour. For the required 42 credit hours, the total estimated tuition amounts to $35,910, excluding additional fees.

Students should also account for a Graduate fee of $50 per semester and a Technology fee of $100 per semester. The application fee is waived ($0). Other expenses include textbooks and personal costs.

Career & Practical Experience

Students gain practical experience through a hands-on, 200-hour internship, which can be completed online or at a local public health organization. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Credentialing Exam in Public Health (CPH) and the National Certification for Health Education Specialists (CHES) exam.
